Updating A Classic-GOOD

Now THIS is how you update a classic! via uncrate.

MIND FIELD PREMIERE

I dont get too excited about too many things…..thanks to the Sarge, Mike and Frog!

Sean and I were just talking last week about how important previous AWS videos were to us in our lives, and how we remember each one so clearly. when and where we were the first time we saw them, practically down to what we were wearing. Definitely the brand that shaped skateboarding for me and in a small way contributed to my outlook on life in general. No Pressure.

Helvetica

Not a new documentary, but one of the best and it is debuting in a one hour version on pbs tonight for those in NE. Check it out, Tuesday, January 6th. 10pm central.

How To Be Miserable

Criterion

Criterion launched its new website today. Filled with tons of great movies, arguably the best collection available, and also offering streaming movies on their site, this is definitely something worth spending some time on. Personally im pretty excited to be able to get bottle rocket on blu ray!

Great Ideea

check this out^. Its fun to play with or simply use as inspiration, if nothing else. The engine pulls from flickr and you can designate up to 10 colors, or just one and crank it up. The results are pretty amazing!

CRAIG IS GOOD PEEPS.

THE ROOTS

I dont get too excited about hip hop very often…i think the last hip hop album i bought was ghostface’s iron man on TAPE. not completely serious, but almost!!! anyway this video got me pretty hyped! maybe its just because i’m avoiding doing work, or the 5 shot americano i just had, but the live aspect of the roots makes them the best hands down.

Stussy x Rip Zinger

Pretty psyched on this! Sometimes it takes an outsiders/foreigners perspective to appreciate what is so good about usa skate culture and its bi products. As a shop owner its easy to get caught up in the negativity of the industry, and esp in the globalization/selling out of the “sport”. click HERE for the video.
